About The Eccentric
The Eccentric is an independent art and culture magazine dedicated to artists, thinkers, and creators who exist slightly outside the expected frame.
We explore contemporary art not as a commodity or trend, but as a living language shaped by memory, identity, psychology, ritual, and personal myth. The Eccentric exists for those who value depth over noise, intuition over algorithms, and authenticity over polish.
At the core of our work is a clear mission. We exist to provide visibility to artists who often struggle to be seen and heard. Many powerful, thoughtful, and emotionally honest artists work outside mainstream attention, trends, or institutional support. The Eccentric was created to give these voices space, respect, and reach, ensuring their work is shared with a wider audience and experienced on its own terms.
Our platform highlights emerging and established artists whose work carries emotional weight, conceptual clarity, and a sense of inner necessity. Through interviews, essays, visual features, and curated editorials, we create opportunities for artists to be discovered, understood, and remembered.
The Eccentric is not interested in perfection.
We are interested in truth.
Our Philosophy
Art does not need to be explained, but it deserves to be taken seriously.
We believe:
Art is a reflection of inner worlds, not market cycles
Creative expression is inseparable from personal history
Visibility is not a privilege, but a necessity for artists to survive and evolve
Imperfection, contradiction, and vulnerability are strengths
Artists deserve platforms that amplify their voice rather than dilute it
The Eccentric is a magazine for readers who feel deeply, think independently, and seek meaning beyond surface aesthetics.
About the Founder
Martina Munzar is a contemporary visual artist and the founder of The Eccentric.
Her artistic practice, rooted in abstraction, gesture, and emotional narrative, shapes the editorial sensibility of the magazine. Martina’s work explores themes of identity, memory, inner fragmentation, and psychological presence, approaching painting as both a visual and introspective act.
After years of navigating the art world as a practicing artist, Martina created The Eccentric out of a personal understanding of how difficult it can be for artists to gain meaningful exposure. The magazine was born from a desire to build an artist-led platform that prioritizes creative integrity, fair visibility, and genuine connection between artists and audiences.
The Eccentric reflects her belief that artists should be seen as thinkers and storytellers, not as content producers.

A Magazine Led by Artists
What sets The Eccentric apart is perspective.
This is not a publication observing artists from the outside. It is built from within the creative process itself. Every feature, collaboration, and editorial decision is guided by empathy for the creative struggle and respect for artistic labor.
We collaborate with painters, sculptors, photographers, writers, and interdisciplinary artists who are often underrepresented, overlooked, or working quietly beyond mainstream visibility. Our goal is to ensure their work travels further than their immediate circle and reaches readers who are open, curious, and receptive.
Our Vision
The Eccentric aims to become:
A trusted platform that amplifies underrepresented artistic voices
A curated archive of meaningful contemporary art
A bridge between artists and a wider global audience
A long-term cultural project rooted in integrity rather than speed
We are here for the long conversation, not the quick scroll.
